Introduction to Dance Movement Therapy – The Body Talks

This two day experiential workshop led by Hayley Starling offers an introduction to:
- History and development of Dance Movement Therapy
- The language of the body
- Body memory – what we don’t remember in our minds we remember with our bodies
- Creative expression through the body
- The body and the therapeutic relationship - the latest research
Participants will experience a range of learning methods including experiential exercises involving movement, presentation of clinical material, video and discussion.Participants are advised to wear suitable clothing for moving in.
Materials, handouts and lunches included.
