Advanced Sandtray
This course, for those who've already attended an introductory course, is led by Brenda Rawlinson & Lynn McClelland . It builds on their 3 day Introductory Sandtray Therapy Course and will be an opportunity to deepen knowledge and experience of using Sandtray Therapy further.
The course will cover:
- Looking at 'old ways of working': bringing back the role of imagination and creativity within the therapeutic process.
- Exploration of how archetypal psychology (Carl Jung, James Hillman) and alchemical metaphors can help us understand change and transformation within sandtray work.
- Reflecting on some of the links many creative therapists and writers make in the connection between ancient collective myths and modern personal stories : in particular we will look at stories about 'wounded healers' as helpful in linking professional and personal development.
Participants will again experience a range of learning methods including experiential sandtray work, small group work and case studies to explore reflective practice and supervision.
10.00am – 4.00pm. Tuesdays 1st & 8th June 2010. Exeter.
All materials, handouts and lunches included.
