Insider Art Gallery
The Insider Art Directors, like all Art Psychotherapists, are dual trained. Like many we have a dual practice, as artists and psychotherapists. We believe that working effectively with people is facilitated by thinking like an artist, and that working as artist is often facilitated by thinking psychologically and emotionally. These processes feed one another! One of the advantages of working across fields in the arts and health is that we believe it helps keep the artist identity of the art psychotherapist vibrant.
Some of our current and recent work is here, and you’ll find more on our separate gallery pages in the archive, where you will also find the ‘Show and Tell’ page. We will be using this space to show work by our colleagues, from across the arts and health spectrum.
THE BIRD TABLE

THE NEST OF LOST HOPES
Heathercombe Sculpture Trail 2010
Working creatively with loss and change often shows that embracing ‘giving up’ and letting go is when change becomes possible, and hope is reborn. Insider Art, when working with group endings and transitions, have devised creative rituals giving form to ‘What to Take’ and ‘What to Leave Behind’ helping this to happen. This collaborative, public sculpture project is an elaboration of these rituals.
